Not too far off from the stairwell fight sequence, Atomic Blonde’s apartment fight shows just how inaccurate the label of “female John Wick” that critics threw at this film proves to be. Theron’s performance is so much more than that, and Leitch knows this. It’s obvious in the way he directs these fights.

Outdoor Shootout, John Wick (2014)
John Wick’s finale remains one of the best of the series. The stakes are so high at the end of the third film, but it’s crazy just how far Wick has come in just a couple of weeks (according to the film’s timeline, the three films happen one after another, meaning that there’s not much time between the end of the first film and the end of the third). The outdoor shootout at the end of the first film shows how crazy Wick’s life has become and suggests just how crazy it’s going to continue to be.
