One of the most meta comedies of all time, This is the End arrives in theaters on Wednesday, June 12 with a cast that includes Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, James Franco, Craig Robinson, Danny McBride and Jonah Hill, all playing themselves as they try to survive the biblical rapture and the post-apocalyptic world that rapidly follows.
Offering a never-ending supply of cameos, This is the End marks the directorial debut of Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who previously supplied the scripts to comedies like Superbad and Pineapple Express.
ComingSoon.net sat down with Rogen, Baruchel and Robinson to discuss their creative approach to comedy storytelling, the creation of some truly unique movie monsters and the history of Robinson’s song featured in the film, “Take Yo Panties Off.”
