K-pop reality show I-Land 2 is slowly inching towards the grand finale. The preview of episode 9 shows the “position battle” that will take place in the semi-final. The competition between two promising vocalists, Yoon Jiyoon and Jungeun, will only get more intense in the upcoming episode.
Mnet’s I-Land 2 has opened its voting line for fans to support their favorite contestants until the grand finale. Twelve rookies are competing to secure a spot in the final lineup. Only six of them will get the chance to debut as a team on June 27.

Mnet I-Land 2 episode 9 will be released on June 20 at 9:30 p.m. KST, 8:30 a.m. ET, 5:30 a.m. PT, 1:30 p.m. BST, and 6 p.m. IST. It will be available for global K-pop fans via Mnet K-pop’s live YouTube stream.
After the Black Label test, where Jeemin was the highest-scoring participant, the forthcoming episode will reveal the total scores of Jeong Saebi, Yuju, Koko, and Choi Jungeun. Only after I-Land 2 members know each participant’s current rank can they proceed to the next mission.

The preview of the I-Land 2 semi-final hinted to be more nail-biting than ever before. As per the trailer, Yoon Jiyoon and Jungeun face a crucial battle to prove their talent as the best vocalists in the show. The duo will perform “If I Were A Boy” for the position battle.
On the other hand, Bang Jeemin has consistently delivered some of the most memorable performances in part 2 of I-Land 2. Fans who watched the semi-final live broadcast at Mnet Studio claim she will keep her reputation intact.
According to the trailer, Jeemin will perform Lisa’s “Money” in the ‘Main Position’ battle. On the other hand, Jeemin, Saebi, Son Juwon, Mai, and Kim Sujung will compete for the ‘Main Dancer’ title in the position battle.
Simultaneously, Koko and Yuju will fight for the ‘Main Rapper’ position. The pair will cover CL’s “Spicy.” Meanwhile, Sarang, Fuko, and Gyuri will fight for the “All Rounder” position and perform F(X)’s “4 Wall.”
