In episode 8 of I-Land 2, twelve contestants competed to rank high. The new host, Zerobaseoone star Hanbin, revealed that the upcoming Black Made Test would contain three songs, and four rookies would form a team. However, the I-Landers could not choose the songs or the team they wanted to participate in.
I-Land 2 episode 8 reveals current ranking after Black Made Test
The latest Black Made Test of I-Land 2 episode 8 featured three tracks in the setlist: Blackpink’s “Lovesick Girls,” 2NE1’s “I Am The Best,” and IZ*ONE’s “La Vie en Rose.” Among the top contestants, Yoon Jiyoon wanted to be in the “I Am The Best” group, and surprisingly, she found herself on that team. Others were disappointed to see the songs chosen for them.
The “Lovesick Girls” team featured Jeong Saebi as the center and leader, Choi Jungeun as the main vocalist, Nam Yuju as the main dancer, and Koko as part 4. Koko and Yuju wanted to be the leading dancers, but the team mutually decided to give Yuju the part. Later, some mentors suggested giving Koko more rapping parts after the interim check, which ultimately helped the team.
While Saebi was the team leader, Jungeon had to step in and help her before the interim check. On the main stage, Saebi, Koko, and Jungeon delivered perfection, but Yuju’s rap was underwhelming for the judges. As a result, Saebi and Koko scored very close, while Yuju received a considerably lower rank.
The “I Am The Best” team included Yoon Jiyoon as the center and leader, Kim Sujung as the main vocalist, Son Juwon as the main dancer, and Mai in part 4. Jiyoon’s performance mesmerized K-pop fans as she proved once again her potential to be on the debut team.
Despite her best efforts, Son Juwon scored the lowest among all members of the audience votes, which dampened her spirits. Kim Sujung’s vocal tone suited the song’s mood, and she received praise from her fellow contestants. However, Mai could not add anything new to her performance and scored relatively low.
The “La Vie en Rose” team, which consisted of Jeemin, Fuko, Sarang, and Gyuri, impressed the mentors with their creativity. Jeemin previously faced criticism for not taking enough parts in a song. So, as the team leader, she decided to take the center part. Fuko became the main vocalist, Sarang chose to be the leading dancer, and Gyuri took part 4.
Jeemin’s graceful moves and singing won the audience’s hearts, while Sarang’s failure to hit her pitch disappointed the judges. Fuko maintained her stable vocals throughout the song and scored second highest in the team. After all three teams’ performances, Jeemin emerged as the highest-scoring participant. She also got the most votes from the live audience of I-Land.
After three stages, I-Land 2 episode 8 ranks are:
- Bang Jeemin – 207 votes, 195 score
- Yoon Jiyoon – 193 votes, 184 score
- Fuko – 191 votes, 177 score
- Ryu Sarang – 174 votes, 169 score
- Kim Gyuri – 173 votes, 172 score
- Mai – 158 votes, 159 score
- Kim Sujung – 153 votes, 164 score
- Son Juwon – 131 votes, 157 score
The ranks will change when the next episode reveals the total score of the “Lovesick Girls” team. The voting numbers of the “Lovesick Girls” team are:
