Mnet’s new K-pop survival show, I-LAND 2: N/a, will premiere in April. Before the show’s release, the channel revealed the profiles of all twenty-four contestants and the lineup of producers and performance directors.
Mnet and The Black Label will produce the second season of I-LAND. Previously, Mnet collaborated with HYBE for I-LAND season 1, where seven winners were selected from 23 participants. The winners, Suno, Jay, Jake, Jungwon, Heeseung, Niki, and Sunghoon, formed the group Enhypen after the show ended.
I-LAND season 2 contestants lineup explored
I-LAND season 2 will have over 24 contestants. Mnet introduced the lineup through a series of performance videos. The participants were divided into four teams, and each group chose a song that suited the team’s mood. I-LAND 2 participants covered four songs: Sam Smith’s “How Do You Sleep,” BLACKPINK’S “DDU-DU-DDU-DU,” BIBI and Yoon Mi-rae’s “Law,” and Miss Elliott’s “Pep Rally.”

Mnet X The Black Label’s I-Land 2 episode 1 will air on April 18 at 8.50 p.m. KST/ 7.50 a.m. ET/ 4.50 a.m. PT. The producers and performance directors for season 2 include BIGBANG’s Taeyang, dancers Monica and Lee Jung, and producers 24 and VVN. K-drama heartthrob Song Kang will be the host or storyteller.
Mnet has previously noted that the season 2 format of I-LAND will not be the same as I-LAND 1. This season, the show focuses on the participants’ identities, as the show’s tagline says, “Find Your I.”
