Mnet’s hit K-pop survival show Build Up, episode 8, will be released soon. The preview of the semi-finale hints at the nail-biting competition that will take place in the show’s last few missions. Before the official release, Mnet dropped a preview of the upcoming One Team mission. The next round will feature some K-pop hit tracks, including Taemin’s Guilty.
The journey to the semi-finale of Build Up has not been that easy. Many fan-favorite contestants have already bid goodbye to the show. In episode 7, several popular participants, such as Neon, Inhwan, Juhe, Taewoo, Yeonwoo, Intae, and Sanghyun, were eliminated.
Only 20 contestants in five teams will fight in the semi-final, where more than one team can be eliminated based on scores and votes.
Build Up episode 8 release date & time
Build Up episode 8 will air on March 15 at 10.10 p.m. KST/ 9.10 a.m. ET on Mnet K-pop YouTube. Global fans can livestream the episode from the Mnet K-pop channel.
The preview of episode 8 has hinted at the songs that One Team will perform. As per the trailer, Jay Chung’s team, consisting of Jay, Bitsaeon, Seunghun, and Minseo, will perform Woodz’s “Drowning.”
The trailer reveals the judges’ confused reaction to Jay Chung’s team’s performance. Jay also looks disappointed on the stage, doubting if they can really pull off a semi-finale-worthy performance.
The Milky Up team of Soomin, Geonu, Seohyung, and Choi Haram have selected Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” for the One Team mission’s grand performance.
The Partners team, which consists of Donghun, Park Jeup, Bain, and Jeon Woong, will perform K-pop superstar Taemin’s famous track “Guilty.”
DoReMiFa team of Gwangseok, Yeo One, Junhyeok, and Inhyuk will likely perform MeloMance’s “Gift.”
Suhwan, Kang Hayoon, and Wumuti of Waterfire team’s song remains a mystery as many fans have guessed to be either Aespa’s “Drama” or EXO’s “Mama.”
Build Up only has three episodes left. The wait to meet the competition winners will end in the grand finale, which will take place on March 29, 2024.
