K-pop rockstars ATEEZ will return with their third Japanese single, “Not Okay.” The group released their last Korean album, The World EP.Fin: Will in December 2023. So the Japanese comeback has been long due.
ATEEZ recently snagged the title of Record Store Day‘s K-pop Artist of the Year. To celebrate the special title, the K-pop icons announced the release of their exclusive vinyl, ATEEZ – THE WORLD EP.FIN: WILL (X version). The exclusive vinyl will be available in stores on April 10.
Release date of ATEEZ’s Japanese comeback with ‘Not Okay’
ATEEZ’s new single, “Not Okay,” will be released digitally on February 28. A physical version of “Not Okay” will be available in stores starting April 12.
Followed by the release of “Not Okay,” ATEEZ will hold a showcase for their single on February 29.
The single version of the NOT OKAY album will feature four tracks, including the title track and b-side song, “Days.” It will also include the instrumental versions of both the songs. Per the record label, physical single will be available in three forms: Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, and Standard Edition.
Before the release of the single, ATEEZ dropped a cinematic teaser of the single. The members are seen trapped in a space with nothing but screens. The teaser ends with Yeosang in tears.
ATEEZ’s new single is building expectations as the K-pop trendsetters reached new heights of success with their 2023 releases. ATEEZ’s studio album The World EP.Fin: Will debuted in the Billboard 200 chart at number 1. It also topped South Korea’s Circle Album Chart.
The album sold over 1.6 million copies of its two charting versions in South Korea in its first week and 152,000 album-equivalent units in the United States. The album marked ATEEZ’s first number-one and fourth top-10 album in the U.S.
Topping the tremendous commercial performance, ATEEZ’s impact on the K-pop music industry was recognized in the year-end K-pop award shows.
The K-pop octet won the Artist of the Year Bonsang and Top Global Performer Award at the 2023 Hanteo Music Awards.
Following the release of the new single, ATEEZ will meet fans at KCON Hong Kong 2024, which will occur on March 30 and 31, 2024.
