Running Man Episode 694 Recap: Le Sserafim Travels Back in Time

K-pop’s rising icon, Le Sserafim, made their Running Man debut on episode 694. Kim Chaewon, Sakura, and Kazuha of HYBE girl group Le Sserafim were special guests on Running Man’s latest episode, along with former mixed martial artist Kim Donghyun and professional poker player Hong Jinho.

Before the special mission started, Le Sserafim members talked about their debut on the popular Korean variety show. The Running Man cast praised Sakura’s perfect Korean pronunciation, joking it is better than Jinho’s pronunciation, who was a part of the game’s lineup.

Le Sserafim members get candid about earnings in Running Man episode 694

Le Sserafim made their Running Man debut on episode 694 with a fierce performance of “Easy” and talked about their experience in the K-pop industry. Sakura, the Japanese member of the three girl groups, started her music career in 2011 when she joined HKT48. She was asked about her earnings as a K-pop senior artist in the industry. Sakura honestly replied to host Ji Seok-Jin’s question, saying, “Quite a lot.”

Another member of Running Man, Yoo Jae Suk, pointed out the group’s rapid success in the music industry since their debut as Le Sserafim in 2022. “You debuted in 2022, so it hasn’t been that long. But you have so many hit songs that it feels like you’ve been around for a long time,” Yoo Jae Suk told the group.

After the introduction, the Running Man team gets divided into three groups to play a time-traveling investment race special mission. First, the members travel back to 1990 to engage in an investment race. HAHA’s team won first place after taking on Le Sserafim’s new song “EASY” challenge. In the second round, the cast members travel to the 1970s, and in the final round, they travel to the 2000s.

The final mission of the relay race became especially fun when the cast members kept dropping their extra small props, which were attached to a low-frequency massager. The ‘electrifying’ vibration of the props made it extra hard to carry it while running. Chae Won runs screaming while holding the ‘noodle’ prop, sending everyone to splits.

But the final twist came with Sakura, who dropped her prop flag mid-way, sending his team members into a frenzy.

The next episode’s preview reveals that Chae Won, Sakura, and Kazuha will continue their Running Man Mission. The episode will air on March 3.
