Blackpink Lisa is finally making her acting debut. The Thai star has been confirmed in the cast of HBO’s The White Lotus season 3.
Lalisa Manobal, known famously as Blackpink Lisa, recently launched her own company, Lloud Co. The 26-year-old K-pop star will pursue all her activities through her own company, Lloud, starting with her HBO acting debut.

Blackpink’s Lisa has been vocal about her wish to pursue acting for a while, and it is finally happening. As per reports, season 3 of The White Lotus will start production in and around Bangkok, Phuket, and Koh Samui in February.
Lisa will be credited with her original name, Lalisa Manobal, in the season 3 cast. But Deadline previously reported that the story will follow a multigenerational gang that visits The White Lotus Resort. The gang includes a patriarch, an actress, a female corporate executive, and mothers. The mothers represent various status quo’ like a country club wife, a misfit, and a yogi.
Created, written, and directed by Mike White, The White Lotus has snagged multiple Emmy nominations for its previous seasons. For its season 3 promotions, the series has partnered up with the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
Lisa, as the global Thai superstar, may have a significant role in the drama. Furthermore, her presence can also be instrumental in bridging the gap between Thai culture and the Western audience.
