TWS is a brand-new K-pop boy band of PLEDIS Entertainment that made their much-anticipated debut on Monday, January 22, 2024. TWS is an abbreviated form of “Twenty Four Seven With Us”. The newly formed boy group has a total of six members, including Kyungmin, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Shinyu, and Jihoon.
PLEDIS Entertainment formed TWS as their first new boy band after nine years since they debuted the popular boy group SEVENTEEN back in 2015. The band has released its debut mini-album titled ‘Sparkling Blue’ with a six-member boy group. The music video for the title track of the album, “Plot Twist” has also been released.

PLEDIS Entertainment’s TWS recently held a press conference, as per Soompi, on Monday, January 22, 2024. During the conference, the members of the new boy group, including Dohoon, Youngjae, Kyungmin, Hanjin, Jihoon, and Shinyu, open up regarding their highly awaited debut, ‘Sparkling Blue,’ their first mini album and the album’s title track “Plot Twist.”
At the conference, Dohoon remarks on the honor of performing as a newly debuted boy group. He says, “We will continue to mature more going forward. ” While talking about how they feel about their debut, Youngjae says, “I attended dance classes since I was nine years old, and I feel as if my dreams are coming true.” Jihoon comments on their experiences until the boy group’s debut, while Hanjin conveys his determination to work hard.
Shinyu, the group leader, says, “We prepared hard, and I counted down the days until our debut. We will work hard to become great rookies.” Another member, Kyungmin, expresses, “I feel heart-fluttering excitement to finally perform as it is my longtime dream. We will continue to impress.”
During a Q&A session at the press conference, TWS members talked about their K-pop idols, role models, and future goals. Dohoon elaborates while naming SEVENTEEN as their role model, “Our role model is SEVENTEEN. All six members grew our dreams by watching SEVENTEEN, and we were inspired by their positive influence through good music.”
Shinyu talks about what the group has learned from SEVENTEEN and SHINee. He says, “We learned a lot about facial expressions through SEVENTEEN, and we repeatedly watched SEVENTEEN’s ‘Adore U’ and SHINee’s ‘View,’ studying how to showcase [what we learned] in our own way. A combination of thrilling and exhilarating excitement is our charm.”
Explaining the meaning of the group name, TWS (Twenty Four Seven With Us), Dohoon says, “Our team name also contains the meaning of wanting to be a friend that makes ordinary days special through good music.” Kyungmin shares while talking about their future goals for fans all across the globe, “We hope that fans all over the world feel happy when with TWS.”
TWS members then opened up about their feelings after they were chosen as members of the new boy group. Kyungmin shares, “Being selected as a member of the debuting group means taking one more step toward debut. We laughed and cried, and we were really happy. We talked a lot about working hard to become an awesome group.”
Jihoon further talks about the title track from their debut mini album. He says, “We listened to it all together. We were all shocked because the addictive melody left a strong impression.” At the end of the press conference, Kyungmin again mentions SEVENTEEN. He expresses, “First of all, it’s an honor to debut after SEVENTEEN,…We’re also working hard, so please keep an eye on us.”
