BTS member Jungkook recently confirmed his military debut month in an emotional post on Weverse. Along with him, RM, Jimin, and V have also been enlisted.
Previously, BTS’ agency, BIGHIT MUSIC, released a statement on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, regarding the BTS members’ enlistment process. It stated, “The artists are preparing to fulfill their military service duties. We will inform you of further updates in due course.” A few hours after the statement, the Golden album artist shared a heartwarming post for his fans. He confirmed that he would leave in December 2023 to serve in the military.
BTS Jungkook reveals his military service tenure
Jungkook recently released his first solo album, Golden, which turned out to be a successful venture. He is currently at the peak of his career, which is why ARMYs (a term for BTS fans) are disheartened by the military enlistment news.
Following this, the “Seven” singer addressed his fans through an emotional Weverse post. He wrote, “This coming December, I will begin a new journey. I will be leaving you for a while to serve in the military. As I share this news, my heart feels heavy on one hand, but on the other hand, my heart warms as I recall precious memories with ARMY. Every moment I’ve spent with you so far has been the brightest time of my life.”
JK mentioned that his service tenure is one year and six months, starting this December. The K-pop idol added, “I promise that when I return, I will stand on stage in the same place I always was and with a more grown appearance. In the meantime, I hope ARMYs’ lives will always be filled with laughter and happiness.”
While Jungkook mentioned his military service’s start month, BTS members RM, V, and Jimin’s dates are unknown. In September, Suga was enlisted after Jin and J-Hope.
