Mnet dance survival show Street Dance Girls Fighter 2 premiered on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 10 p.m. KST. The competition follows a set of teenage and middle school girl groups who showcase their dance skills in front of the mentors to receive their approval and move forward in the competition. The premiere episode documented many intense and dramatic moments as the dancers competed against each other.
Episode 1 of Street Dance Girls Fighter 2 featured mentors and leaders from Street Woman Fighter, including 1 MILLION (Lia Kim, Lee Yoo-Jung, and Harimu), BEBE (Bada Lee, Lusher, and Tatter), Hook (Aiki, Sung Jiyeon, and Odd), Jam Republic (Kirsten, Latrice, and Audrey), Lachica (Gabee, Rian, and Simeez), and Mannequeen (Funky_y, Redlic, Waackxxxy, and Yoonji). Kang Daniel reprised his role as MC. A total of 10 contestants and groups moved ahead.

Street Dance Girls Fighter 2 aired its premiere episode with a bang, promising a larger scale of competition and talent than the previous season. Interestingly, the premiere was a success. Unlike last season, the competition was open to individuals as well. This meant that not just dance crews but individual dancers could also get a chance to perform. Meanwhile, the mentors also showcased their prowess.
While the contestants and the dance crews were initially amazed and intimidated by the mentors, they eventually composed themselves. Each contestant or group was designated a specific time in which they would perform. The mentors would judge the performances and, if they like it, they will press the buzzer. The buzzer would indicate they were ‘IN.’
Nataraja V dance crew stunned the mentors with their performance and received 5 IN. They chose 1 MILLION as their mentors. En Beatz, a dance crew from New Zealand, also put up a strong competition, choosing Jam Republic in the end. Yamada Ria, an individual dancer from Japan also proved to be a worthy fighter. She also chose Jam Republic.
Moreover, teenage dancer Lee Soo-Min surprised the judges with her power-packed performance. She chose 1 MILLION. Other dance crews and contestants selected include M.S.G and Liu Amy. By the end of the episode, Just Jerk Rookies received all the mentors’ approval as they managed to be the most impressive. They ultimately chose BEBE.

Street Dance Fighter 2 episode 2 is all set to release on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at 10 p.m. KST on Mnet. Viewers who miss out on the episode can watch it later on YouTube.
The upcoming episode will feature more groups and contestants impressing the judges and mentors. However, the impending twist will leave them heartbroken. As per the preview for next week’s episode, the existing crews will be distributed into groups of 7. This means that some of the members will have to compete against each other in different crews for the final selection. As it is, battles and dance moves promise to keep mentors shook.
