Woo-Seok’s rising popularity allowed him to be featured in Harper’s Bazaar magazine’s July 2024 issue. In it, he highlighted how he never dreamt of being popular. He appreciated that people recognized him and liked him as an actor.
The star played K-pop idol Ryu Sun-Jae in Lovely Runner alongside Kim Hye-Yoon as Im Sol. The drama tells the story of a girl jumping timelines to save the love of her life. The drama changed Woo-Seok’s career, which he struggled with for over 10 years.

Byeon Woo-Seok revealed many details of his life and career to Harper’s Bazaar. Speaking about his popularity, he said, “It’s definitely not a dream, but it feels like a dream. So many people recognize me, look at me deeply, and like me more than that. I wonder if I’ll ever have another moment like this in my life.”
He also stated that he failed many auditions and used to break down after receiving criticism. Woo-Seok added, “There were many times when I was so upset that I cried after the audition. I held on with the mindset of just giving it a try for ten years.”
Fortunately, the actor’s career graph has reached high and is unstoppable. Fans not only admired his character and the storylinebut also appreciated Woo-Seok’s songs. In the drama, he is a vocalist of a fictional band, Eclipse. However, in reality, he has sung the OST, “Sudden Show,” which has bagged a spot in the Billboard Global 200 chart.
