Dear X K-Drama Cast: Kim Young-Dae Added to Kim Yoo-Jung’s Show?

Webtoon-based K-drama Dear X has been widely discussed lately. On June 4, 2024, Kim Yoo-Jung was reportedly cast as the female lead for the same. Now, OSEN reported that Kim Young-Dae will be cast as the male lead opposite the My Demon actress. He will essay the role of Yoon Joon-Seo in the series. Dear X follows the journey of a successful actress who uses others to achieve fame and the spotlight only for it to come crashing down.

Given the casting and the storyline, viewers are highly anticipating the duo to play the lead roles. Per reports, producing director Lee Eung-Bok is helming the series. He is well-known for his work on many popular dramas, including Dream High, Descendants of the Sun, Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, and more.

Kim Young-Dae to reportedly star opposite Kim Yoo-Jung for Dear X K-drama

On June 5, 2024, OSEN reported that Kim Young-Dae will join Kim Yoo-Jung in the new webtoon-based K-drama Dear X. The actor will reportedly play the lead character Yoon Joon-Seo. Yesterday, several other news outlets reported that Kim Yoo-Jung was in the middle of discussions to star in the series as the female lead. Meanwhile, Kim Young-Dae’s agency responded to the report. They said, “‘Dear X’ is one of the projects Kim Young Dae received an offer for and is currently reviewing.”

Based on a webtoon, Dear X features the story of actress Baek Ah-Jin (played by Kim Yoo-Jung). She makes use of others for her benefit and fame. While she is considered a sociopath, Ah-Jin also has a kind personality. However, she doesn’t shy away from going against people who betray her. So far, details about Kim Young-Dae’s character Yoon Joon-Seo remain unknown.

Kim Yoo-Jung rose to fame in 2024 with the popular SBS K-drama My Demon, opposite Song Kang. Meanwhile, Kim Young-Dae was last seen in the 2023 K-drama Moon in the Day.
