Based on Min Jin-Lee’s best-selling novel of the same name, the series documents the journey of love and survival of four generations of a Korean immigrant family under an era of oppression.

Meanwhile, the highly awaited Pachinko season 2 will see its main cast members reprising their roles with a new cast added to the lineup. Pachinko season 2 will premiere on Friday, August 23, 2024. Recently, Apple TV Plus released a trailer, making the long-awaited announcement of the release date. The second season will premiere globally with a scheduled episode release. The upcoming season will consist of eight episodes, with viewers getting access to the first episode on the premiere date. Meanwhile, the rest will air one episode a week every Friday until October 11, 2024.
Season 2 of Pachinko will see Kim Sung-Gyu join the main cast members of the series — Lee Min-Ho, Youn Yuh-Jung, and Kim Min-Ha. Other cast members include Anna Sawai, Jin Ha, Jung Eun-Chae, Soji Arai, and Han Jun-Woo.
Executive producer Soo Hugh is also the creator and writer of the series. Other executive producers include Media Res’ Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer and Blue Marble Pictures’ Teresa Kang. Leanne Welham, Arvin Chen, and Lee Sang-Il are the directors for Pachinko season 2. The series is produced in three languages – Korean, Japanese, and English.
