Popular K-drama Uncle Samsik will air two brand new episodes, 7 and 8, on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 4 p.m. KST on Disney Plus. Set during the turbulent 1960s in Korea, the series follows passionate idealist Kim San (Byun Yo-Han), who wants to make the country financially strong. He crosses paths with Park Doo-Chil, fondly known as Uncle Samsik (Song Kang-Ho), who requests an unusual collaboration.
The trailer for episodes 7 and 8 of Uncle Samsik tease Kim San and Uncle Samsik’s plans to bring down Kang Seong-Min and have them take control of the political scene. This week’s Uncle Samsik episodes 7 and 8 will be released on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 4 p.m. KST on Disney Plus. The episodes will see Kim San and Uncle Samsik’s continued collaboration. The duo will continue from the success of their first move, which is Kim Seong-Min’s downfall. In the previous episode, Kim San orchestrated a scene where Seong-Min punched him before going into a meeting to pass the Local Government Act. The trailer for the upcoming episodes also showcases the aftermath of this incident.
Kim San looks at the newspaper that published a photo of Seong-Min punching him. Previously, he promised a reporter an exclusive scoop against Seong-Min, which came to be this specific incident. On his way, he meets Rachel Jung and later establishes an intimate relationship with her. After Seong-Min’s actions become public, Kim San replaces him as the image of democracy as planned.
Meanwhile, Uncle Samsik warns Kim San against a move, reminding the latter how he must not waver while his public presence grows. Uncle Samsik then uses Seodaemun faction’s leader, Han-Soo, to target Park Jin-Wook. He discovers from Seong-Min that Sineui Alliance’s founder, Cha Tae-Min, had his eyes on them. Seong-Min also revealed how Tae-Min threatened to kill him. Uncle Samsik then tries to look for Tae-Min. By the end of the trailer, Uncle Samsik advises Kim San to stay close to General Choi Han-Rim and follow their plan until the end.
