Shin Hye-Sun talks about Byun Yo-Han’s role in Following
Shin Hye-Sun and Byun Yo-Han appeared as guests at Salon Drip 2 ahead of their film Following’s theatrical release. Talking about Yo-Han’s role and the characteristics of Goo Jeong-Tae, he shared (originally in Korean), “I was worried about how to express it because it is a character that likes to observe. When I talk to people, I can’t look them in the eye for a long time. But Koo Jeong-tae watched it for about 5 to 7 seconds longer and didn’t blink so I didn’t know what he was thinking.”
Shin Hye-Sun, who is the recipient of that kind of look from Byun Yo-Han, added her experience. She shared how she felt uncomfortable and just wanted to go home. She said, “I hated it as a role. I absolutely hated it. My brother has clear double eyelids, so I get the feeling that he is pretty just by looking at his eyes. But since our work is not in the melodrama genre, the look in his eyes was very disgusting and uncomfortable. I wanted to go home and take a shower.”
Shin Hye-Sun was last seen in the K-drama Welcome to Samdal-ri and was appreciated for her performance. On the other hand, Byun Yo-Han is playing one of the lead roles in the recently released show, Uncle Samsik.
Following or She Died is going to hit theaters on May 15, 2024, in South Korea.
