Netflix announced that Zombieverse is returning for season 2 and also released the cast line for the upcoming installment of the show. After the massive success of the first season, the reality show is all set to air another season with a new set of participants.
The reality show is based on a survival game where the participants have to complete certain quests in Seoul, South Korea. However, the trick is that they have to face a sudden zombie apocalypse for a day. The first season premiered in August last year and ranked in the top 10 Netflix TV shows. Now, the new announcement has made the viewers excited about the show.
Zombieverse returns for season 2 & announces its complete cast lineup
Netflix’s official Instagram handle released the first-round cast lineup of Zombieverse season 2 on May 9, 2024. It includes Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, actress and singer Kwon Eun-Bi, Jo Se-Ho, and Defconn. The lineup also includes BTOB’s Yook Sung-Jae, CODE KUNST, and the former White House chef Andre Rush. Among them, Sung-Jae is quite popular for his performance in the K-drama Goblin (Guardian: The Lonely and Great God), starring Gong Yoo, Kim Go-Eun, and Lee Dong-Wook.
Sharing the cast details of Zombieverse season 2, the post further states what to expect from the second season. It reads, “Expect upgraded quests, enhanced zombies, and an expanded universe in Season 2 of the reality survival series ZOMBIEVERSE.”
Park Jin-Kyung, known for his work My Little Television, is going to join hands with Moon Sang-Don of ‘It’s My First Time in Korea’ to direct the show. The release date has not been announced yet. Stay tuned for more updates on Netflix‘s Zombieverse season 2.
