Frankly Speaking Episode 2 Trailer: Go Kyung-Pyo Struggles To Lie

JTBC recently shared the Frankly Speaking episode 2 trailer ahead of its premiere. Starring Go Kyung-Pyo as Song Ki-Baek and Kang Han-Na as On Woo-Joo, the comedy K-drama revolves around Ki-Baek’s life turning upside down after an accident.

In the previous episode, Ki-Baek’s dream to become a news anchor seemed impossible. To correct his public image, he reluctantly agreed to be part of Woo-Joo’s variety show. But things got complicated after he accidentally electrocuted himself. A sudden change in his personality created trouble on the sets of Woo-Joo’s variety show.

The trailer for Frankly Speaking episode 2 teases Kyung-Pyo struggling to lie. Before the accident, he had always been polite to others and never spoke without thinking. Now, he blurts out brutal truths.

The Frankly Speaking episode 2 trailer begins with Ki-Baek (Go Kyung-Pyo) forcefully covering his mouth to avoid speaking. Someone says that he has changed and is acting strange. Ki-Baek narrates, “So I can’t say what I don’t mean.”

The announcer struggles to stop himself from speaking whatever comes to his mind. He tries to avoid talking to anyone and hides at home. One of the tragedies occurs when his boss asks if he respects him. Ki-Baek struggles to respond and ends up saying, “No.” In such a stressful situation, Ki-Baek tries to keep calm, but nothing works.

Meanwhile, Woo-Joo, who understands the situation Ki-Baek is in, says, “Song Ki-Baek. I am worried.” Towards the trailer’s end, Ki-Baek has to announce winners at an award show, but he panics on stage.

The final scene shows him standing on a big rock near a beach while Woo-Joo calls his name. She assumes he will jump off the edge.

Frankly Speaking episode 2 release date and time

Frankly Speaking episode 2 will premiere on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 8.50 p.m. KST on JTBC. It also streams on Netflix. Consisting of 12 episodes, the K-drama airs twice a week on Wednesday and Thursday.
