Episode 8 of Lovely Runner aired on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, on tvN and Viki. In the new episode, viewers see Im Sol (Kim Hye Yoon) staying with Ryu Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok) for the entire night to keep him safe. Eventually, Sol finds out that Sun Jae has dug up the time capsule, and he has never stopped liking her.
Lovely Runner episode 8 sees Im Sol finally confessing her feelings to Sun Jae. Thus, the two come closer and end up sharing a passionate kiss. It is a heart-fluttering moment to witness. However, their happiness does not last very long, as the next day, Ryu Sun Jae gets fatally injured after the menacing taxi driver, who tried to harm Sol in the past, comes out of prison and attacks Sun Jae.
Lovely Runner Episode 8: Byeon Woo Seok’s life is in great danger
Episode 8 of Lovely Runner begins by showing Ryu Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok) digging up the time capsule that Im Sol (Kim Hye Yoon) planted in the past. He also waits for Sol at the Han River Bridge but feels heartbroken when Sol does not appear there. Then, the episode shows Sun Jae finding the flower bouquet given by Sol and running to see her at the bridge. It is quite clear that Sun Jae still has intense romantic feelings for Sol even after so many years.
Then, the episode returns to the moment when Sun Jae and Sol meet again. Sol ensures she stays close to Sun Jae as she is afraid that something terrible may happen to him. The two end up staying together the whole night. First, they go to a lounge bar, and then they secretly come to Sun Jae’s place. While there, both try to hide their feelings for each other. But Sun Jae’s friend and band member, Baek In Hyuk, appears at his place and ends up revealing how heartbroken Sun Jae has been all these years, as he still has feelings for Sol. Im Sol hears everything while hiding in the cupboard.
Then, in Lovely Runner episode 8, Ryu Sun Jae drives Im Sol to her house. After reaching there, Sol finally confesses to Sun Jae that, all these years, she has also felt the same for him. She discloses that she has liked him as well. After the confession, Sol leaves to go to her apartment. Sun Jae then rushes to her apartment, and the two get caught up in a heart-fluttering moment. They finally share a long and passionate kiss. However, soon a plumber interrupts their intense moment, and Sun Jae has to leave.
Then, in the episode, viewers witness Im Sol and Ryu Sun Jae being ecstatic as they have finally come closer. They decide to meet on the same day, after work. Sun Jae returns to his apartment after not being able to contact Sol. Meanwhile, Sol arrives at Sun Jae’s apartment. But there she meets a teenage fan of Ryu Sun Jae, who has been stalking him. She takes her to a restaurant and makes her understand why it is not right to stalk one’s idol.
At that moment, a piece of shocking news airs on television, and Sol sees it. It says that Ryu Sun Jae has been gravely injured and that his life is in grave danger. Thus, he has to undergo emergency surgery. The news further informs that a taxi driver, Kim, who has recently come out of prison, is behind this terrible incident. Sol immediately recognizes the man as it is none other than the taxi driver who had tried to harm her in the past. The episode ends right there, with a terrified Sol wondering why it has to be Sun Jae.
