K-drama actor Rowoon has notably gained critical acclaim with his performances in Destined With You, Extraordinary You, and others as an actor. However, he is also a singer and used to be part of the South Korean boy band SF9.
Rowoon recently appeared on Cho Hyun-Ah’s Thursday Night and gave many insights into his acting career and his decision to leave the band in September 2023. Moreover, the actor opened up about his intentions to become an actor, further sharing there was no one who gave him a decisive signal to pursue acting following his exit from SF9.
Rowoon shares how he got into acting after being an SF9 star
Rowoon won over fans and critics with his charming presence and acting skills in School 2017. Since then, he has been showcasing his talent as an actor in different projects. However, his small cameo in A Time Called You, starring Ahn Hyo-Seop, earned him much popularity. Prior to that, he starred alongside Jo Bo-Ah in the hit fantasy rom-com Destined With You.
Now, while talking about his acting journey from being an idol and leaving SF9, Rowoon said there was no person behind his aspirations to pursue acting seriously. Newsen reported that while talking to Cho Hyun-Ah, the actor shared, “There were no people, it was just me. I thought it was funny. I had a lot of worries in my own way. For a long period of time. I knew there would be risks. But you only live once. I’ll have to deal with it, I just have to work hard and prove it.”
Rowoon was recently seen in The Matchmakers and has several upcoming projects lined up. Although there’s not much information about his next project, he is reportedly in talks to be featured in the historical K-drama Murky Water.
