The ongoing fantasy-romance K-drama Lovely Runner has gained immense popularity globally. The series stars Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon as the central couple. It premiered on tvN and Viki on April 8, 2024. The K-drama has landed the No.1 spot in viewership ratings in more than 130 regions on the streaming platform Viki in its premiere week.
As per MK Sports, the global streaming platform Rautken Viki reported on Thursday, April 18, 2024, that Lovely Runner has achieved the top spot in terms of viewership in 133 regions all across the globe. The list of countries includes India and Australia, among others. It happened during the K-drama release week.
Lovely Runner takes the No.1 spot in 133 regions in first week on Viki
As mentioned, Rautken Viki reports that Lovely Runner has received the highest viewership in the platform’s 133 regions globally. It has gained the first rank in terms of viewership on the OTT platform. This has happened in the very first week of release. The regions where the K-drama is No.1 in viewership include India, Australia, the United States, France, Canada, Germany, Brazil, Italy and Mexico, among other regions.
Lovely Runner has also received an impressive 9.8 rating on the global OTT platform Viki. Thus, it shows the immense popularity of Korean drama series.
Based on Tomorrow’s Best by Kim Bbang, the new K-drama revolves around the concept of time slip and romance. Lee Shi Eun acted as the screenplay writer of the series, while Kim Tae Yeop and Yoon Jong Ho served as the K-drama’s directors. Besides Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon, it also stars Song Geon Hee, Lee Seung Hyub and more.
The series has released its first four episodes till now. The upcoming episode 5 will make its arrival on tvN on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 8.25 p.m. KST.
