In the meantime, a handsome-looking architectural designer Seong Yun-O (Kim Young-Kwang) appears in front of them. Even though he could charm them, he was evidently hiding something. Ahead of the finale episode, the viewers learn that it was him who was the serial killer. However, the creators gave a satisfying end to the K-drama. Scroll ahead to read.
Somebody: Does it have a happy or a sad ending?
Directed by Jung Ji-Woo and penned by Han Ji-Wan, Somebody gets a satisfactory ending. Spoilers ahead: The finale episode of the Netflix mini-series shows how Yun-O gets trapped in his web. He gets video calls from the women whom he killed earlier, giving him the taste of fear.
Furious, he goes to Mok-Wan, who works as a shaman, to threaten her. Soon after, Mok-Won (Kim Yong-Ji) and Gi-Eun approach Sum to tell her about Yun-O’s reality, but she is not ready to listen. Meanwhile, Yun-O tells Sum that he is designing and building a space for her.
After that, Yun-O comes to meet Sum and confesses his feelings about her. She asks him to start over, and they get into an intimate scene. However, after some time, the viewers learn that the CEO of Somebody has been sending those videos to Yun-O, and they have been tracking his timeline. Soon enough, Sum decides to visit the space designed by Yun-O. She arranges the whole plan, takes the blade from Mok-Won, and leaves.
But before she can visit Yun-O, Sum (Kang Hae-Lim) calls him and tells him that she won’t be able to make it. He tells her that he likes her. As he is immersed in his confession, a mysterious person comes in and slits his eyes and veins with a blade.
Later, the viewers find out that it was none other than Kim Sum herself. Mok-Won comes to pick her up. Kim Sum reaches her office, Spectrum, and tries her hand at gaming. She laughs for the first time in forever and exudes real expressions and feelings while playing. The creators probably wanted a happy and positive ending to the neck-chilling and blood-splattering thriller drama.
