Missing Crown Prince (The Crown Prince Has Disappeared) is a new K-drama on MBN. Starring EXO’s Suho, Hong Ye-Ji, and Kim Min-Kyu, the series is set to premiere in April 2024.
The storyline revolves around the love story of Crown Prince Lee Gon (Suho) and Choi Myung-Yoon (Hong Ye-Ji). One day, Lee Gon goes missing, leaving his Joseon people in a panic. Little do they know that Myung-Yoon has kidnapped him. Things go sideways when they are in danger and must flee for their lives. Along the way, romance blooms between these two lead characters.
Meanwhile, Grand Prince Do Sung (Kim Min-Kyu) begins his journey to bring back his brother, Lee Gon. Moreover, he is attracted to Myung-Yoon, the daughter of the royal physician and the potential bride of Lee Gon.
Missing Crown Prince episodes 1 & 2 release date, time & more
Missing Crown Prince episode 1 will premiere on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 9.40 p.m. KST, and episode 2 will air on Sunday, April 14, 2024, on MBN. The series will also stream on Viki. Consisting of 20 episodes, the K-drama will air twice a week on weekends. The finale will likely be released on June 16, 2024.
According to Viki, the Missing Crown Prince synopsis reads, “When Crown Prince Lee-Gon (Suho) is kidnapped by Choi Myung-Yoon (Hong Ye-Ji), all of Joseon is thrown into panic. Caught in a kingdom full of secrets and peril, Myung-Yoon and her captive have no choice but to flee for their lives. Though their relationship has a rocky beginning, the time they spend together on the run begins to soften the tension between them.”
The K-drama is a spin-off of the 2021 popular series Bossam: Steal the Fate. Furthermore, Park Chul and Kim Ji-Soo are the screenwriters of both these series. The director of Missing Crown Prince is Kim Jin-Man.
