In The Midnight Studio episode 8, Ki-Joo (Joo Won) saves Han Bom (Kwon Nara) from Choi Hoon’s ghost. He warns her that once she has been possessed, other evil spirits may try to do the same. After dropping her off in front of her apartment, he reluctantly begins to leave.

Han Bom stops him and requests him to spend the night with her. While she sleeps in her bed, he sits down near her. She mumbles why he cannot be closer to her. She gets up in frustration and touches Ki-Joo’s face, realizing he has a fever. Han Bom then remembers that the ghost photographer has been struggling with the repercussions of forcefully handling the gate of the dead.

As she sits beside him, the two share a few comforting words before he puts his head on her shoulder and dozes off.

The next morning, Assistant Go (Yoo In-Soo) and Baek Nam-Gu (Hum Moon-Suk) decide to fulfill their wishes and find peace before their spirits turn evil. Meanwhile, they also help Ki-Joo and Han Bom in Choi Hoon’s case. Also, Ki-Joo is in search of the latter’s spirit and also of the dangerous ghost that led to the massive road accident in episode 6.

Amid all the chaos, Ki-Joo and Han Bom help Choi Hoon’s victim legally and emotionally. Later, the two lead characters, along with Assistant Go and Nam-Gu, celebrate at the photo studio. A police-criminal chase disturbs their party, and Nam-Gu rushes to the scene. He helps his former cop buddy catch the culprit, who had killed Nam-Gu. The latter can now happily move to the other side and, thus, visits his wife for the last time. But he learns that she has a lover.
