MBC’s upcoming K-Drama, Chief Detective 1958, releases a new trailer featuring Le Je-Hoon in the lead. Prequel to the classic Chief Inspector that ran for 18 years; this drama already garners a lot of attention.
While Chief Inspector was made in the 1970s and 1980s, Le Je-Hoon’s drama is set in 1958. Le Je-Hoon plays Park Young-Han’s character but the younger version before becoming an inspector. The drama delves into Young-Han’s life story and journey from being a detective to an inspector. The series will also star Lee Dong-Hwi, Choi Woo-Sung, and Yoon Hyun-Soo as the members of Young-Han’s squad.
Chief Detective 1958 releases new trailer
MBC drops a new trailer on their official social media handles of the upcoming K-drama Chief Detective 1958. In the video clip, Le Je-Hoon as Park Young-Han is seen in a few intense action sequences. At the beginning of the clip, Young-Han exudes fiery, severe expressions. However, as the story unfolds, viewers might understand that his actions are not as serious as a detective.
Though Park Young-Han makes it look like he is tough and doesn’t feel the pain, in one of the scenes, he is seen running away from the thugs. In another sequence, Young-Han (Le Je-Hoon) asks for a fistfight only to get knocked out later. The correct comic timing and action scenes of Chief Detective 1958 make the drama quite interesting already.
The Chief Detective 1958 teaser also shows the bond between Park Young-Han, Kim Sang-Soon, Jo Kyung-Hwan, and Seo Ho-Jung. The squad is always ready to fight against injustice. Le Je-Hoon as Park Young-Han is already piquing the audience’s interest. He has got under the skin of his character.
Chief Detective 1958 is to air on April 19, 2024, at 9:50 p.m. KST on MBC.
