Baeksang Arts Awards 2024 is going to celebrate its 60th anniversary this year. The live-streaming date and the nomination announcement date have been revealed.
The 60th award ceremony will be held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The live-streaming is available on JTBC, JTBC2, and JTBC4. Ever since this news came out online, people have been really excited about it. The ceremony will happen on May 7, 2024, starting from 5 p.m. KST.
Baeksang Arts Awards 2024 nominees to be revealed on April 8
The ceremony’s nominees will be revealed on April 8, 2024, after going through various phases and selections. It conducts a preliminary survey for each category, and judges representing TV, film, and theater select candidates after a rigorous screening.
Baeksang Arts Awards 2024 includes content shown on terrestrial broadcasting, general programming, cable, OTT, and the web between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024. Korean films and plays are also included. The TV category covers four episodes of content on terrestrial, comprehensive, cable, OTT, and web. However, for the serial, the content that has been shown within one-third of the screening date is going to be covered.
As reported in Herald POP, for the Korean feature films, the ones that were released domestically during the time frame are included in the list. The directors who debuted with a feature within this time are eligible for the Best New Director category.
There is a nomination criteria for the Rookie Award in both TV and Films. The actor must have played main or supporting roles in a few projects. The criteria for the theatre category are also the same. The Young Theater Award, Acting Award, and Baeksang Theater Award will be there.
