The MBC series is a revenge drama starring Cha Eun-Woo and Kim Nam-Joo in lead roles. Also streaming on Disney Plus, the synopsis reads, “A mystery unfolds as two individuals delve into the truth, offering each other solace along the way.” But a twist turns the plot into a revenge drama.
Cha Eun-Woo’s Seon-Yul wants to avenge the death of his father, who is killed by Soo-Hyun (Nam-Joo). She commits the crime to seek revenge after Seon-Yul’s father runs over her toddler son.

Starring Song Hye-Kyo as Moon Dong-Eun, the story is about her seeking revenge on her tormentors from high school. When she was a high schooler, a bunch of students bullied her, which followed her dropping out of school and leaving her dreams behind. As an adult, she plans to avenge her painful childhood. Dong-Eun becomes a teacher at a school where her tormentors’ kids are enrolled.
The Glory consists of two seasons with eight episodes each. Aside from Hye-Kyo, the cast includes Lee Do-Hyun, Im Ji-Yeon, Yeom Hye-Ran, Park Sung-soon, and Jung Sung-Il. It is available on Netflix.
Itaewon Class
Itaewon Class is also a K-drama like Wonderful World. It is a 2020 South Korean drama, starring Park Seo-Joon, Kim Da-Mi, and Kwon Na-Ra in lead roles. The storyline revolves around Park Sae-Roy, a man with principles, who gets expelled for punching a bully in his school. His father, who works for a business tycoon cum an underworld thug, also quits his job to save his son’s dignity. As the father-son duo begins a new life, an unfortunate event kills the father. Filled with rage, Sae-Roy attacks the culprit, who happens to be the son of the business tycoon.
After release from prison, Sae-Roy opens a pub in Itaewon alongside a bunch of unlikely friends. Initially, he faces several hardships and betrayals but his team’s spirit helps him thrive in the restaurant business. Through his success, he finally seeks revenge on his father’s killer.
Reborn Rich
Reborn Rich is a 2022 K-drama, starring Song Joong-Ki, Lee Sung-Min, and Shin Hyun-Been. It follows the story of Yoon Hyun-Woo, a loyal and dedicated secretary of a chaebol family. Amid the power battle among the rich kids, a person from the family betrays Hyun-Woo and kills him. But a miracle happens and he wakes up in the body of the chaebol’s family’s youngest son Jin Do-Jun. As Do-Jun, he plans to seek revenge on the family. Viewers can watch the series on Viki.
