The Impossible Heir episode 9: Lee Jae-Wook regains his memories
The latest episode of The Impossible Heir began with Kang In-Ha meeting Tae-Oh’s spy, Seonu Wan. While blackmailing the latter, In-Ha discovered that Tae-Oh escaped from prison. He had previously plotted with Go Mi-Jun to kill Tae-Oh, but that plan failed. Meanwhile, this news also reached Hye-Won, who rushed to Seonu Wan. However, the spy decided to side with In-Ha and receive his money instead of Tae-Oh.
Kang Hee-Joo also began to look for Tae-Oh. On the other hand, Hye-Won paid her estranged mother to hire an investigator and look for Tae-Oh. However, her mother sensed foul play and informed her of her daughter’s actions to In-Ha. Meanwhile, Tae-Oh regained his memories of the night of Kang In-Ju’s murder and realized In-Ha was also present in the room.
Tae-Oh quickly realized that he was in the chairman’s office in a secret room. Joong-Mo helped Tae-Oh escape from prison and saved his life. Meanwhile, Hye-Won was attacked and admitted to a mental hospital. She realized this was In-Ha’s doing and revealed she knew In-Ha was aware of her relationship with Tae-Oh. Frustrated by the situation, In-Ha left Hye-Won at the hospital.
Later, Joong-Mo revealed to Tae-Oh that In-Ha and Park Sajin were trying to collaborate. In-Ha promised Park Sajin half of the conglomerate. Tae-Oh expressed that he designed the blueprint for this dispense work. Moreover, he revealed that he planned to help Kang-Oh become the group’s successor. Joong-Mo asked Tae-Oh to help him remove In-Ha from the group.
Meanwhile, In-Ha and Park Sajin reflected on their previous conversation. The two decided to move forward with their plan to split Kang Oh in half. Tae-Oh reflected on his friendship with In-Ha at night while Hye-Won stayed in a hospital room. The following day, In-Ha visited Hye-Won, asking her to be on his side. She agreed to the deal. On the other hand, Tae-Oh advised Joong-Mo to get Hye-Won on their side.
Seonu Wan discovered that Chu Hyeok-Jin helped Tae-Oh escape. Hye-Won decided to side with Joong-Mo and Tae-Oh. Meanwhile, Tae-Oh advised the chairman to give Park Sajin half of the Kang Oh Group, including Kang Oh energy. When Joong-Mo hesitated, Tae-Oh promised to return it to the chairman. While leaving office, In-Ha saw their family doctor visit the chairman’s office. He discovered that Tae-Oh might be hiding there.
After In-Ha left, Tae-Oh asked Joong-Mo to speed up their plan before it was too late. Joong-Mo met with Park Sajin and recalled how their fathers founded the Kang Oh Group. When the chairman made the offer, Park Sajin revealed that he already had In-Ha. The chairman mentioned that he would terminate In-Ha’s employment the next day.
Meanwhile, Hye-Won gave Tae-Oh access to the VIP room where In-Ju’s murder took place. Kang Hee-Joo went to visit her father, Joong-Mo, and found him unconscious in his bathtub. By the end of the episode, Tae-Oh recalled that Bona, the second victim alongside In-Ju, had been recording the night’s events. Tae-Oh realized that he could find the culprit from the recording on Bona’s phone.
