KBS2‘s upcoming highly anticipated K-drama, Beauty and Mr. Romantic, is slowly approaching its release date.
Hong Seok-Gu’s directorial, penned by Kim Sa-Kyung, the Saturday-Sunday drama is a rom-com featuring Im Soo-Hyang and Ji Hyun-Woo. The series narrates a blooming love story between an actress and a producing director.
Fans of Soo-Hyang and Hyun-Woo are eagerly waiting to watch the pair for the first time on screens in Beauty and Mr. Romantic. However, their connection is already causing a stir online, with everyone eager to see how it evolves into a romantic storyline on screen.
Beauty and Mr. Romantic: Release date, time and plot
Beauty and Mr. Romantic is going to be a romantic comedy. The storyline revolves around an actress, Park Do-Ra (played by Im Soo-Hyang), who faces a rough patch in her career. She is a very straightforward person and knows what is best for her. But when she goes through a tough time, she meets with Go Pil Seung (Ji Hyun-Woo), who is a producing director.
Pil Seung is very passionate and dedicated to his job. However, in a certain turn of events, he becomes close to Do-Ra and helps her return to her feet. And in the process, love blooms between them.
While Im Soo-Hyang looks gorgeous as Park Do-Ra in the drama, Hyun-Woo exudes a cozy and comfy look in his jackets and trousers. However, Do-Ra flaunts her fashion game on point.
But there’s more to it. Park Do-Ra and Go Pil-Seung have a childhood history. As the story unfolds, it will show how Do-Ra and Go Pil-Seung, who used to go by Go Dae-Choong, were friends. But when Park Do-Ra confesses her feelings to him, he rejects her, saying they will talk about it when they’re 20.
Years later, when they meet again as adults, Do-Ra falls into Pil-Seung’s team to work. From what it seems, he ignores the actress in every way. What happens between them and how their love story blossoms is all about the drama.

Beauty and Mr. Romantic features a stellar star cast. Moreover, Go Yoon, Park Sang-Won, Lee Young-Eun, and Lee Il-Wa can be seen as supporting characters.
As per Sports Seoul, Im Soo-Hyang shared her opinion about her character. She said Park Do-Ra is “self-assured and doesn’t get easily intimated, straightforward yet endearingly warm on the inside.” She added, “As an actress, I understand deeply the challenges and emotions Park Do Ra faces, allowing me to empathize with her character.”
On the other hand, Ji Hyun-Woo talked about his character, Go Pil-Seung. He explained that Pil-Seung is “a character who is like a bridge that connects. He puts in a lot of effort toward his dreams and is full of love.”
