Doctor Slump: What can the viewers expect from the finale of Park Hyung-Sik and Park Shin-Hye starrer?
Hyung-Sik plays Yeo Jeong-Woo, a plastic surgeon who after facing a medical accident, hits a rough spot in his career. On the other hand, Shin-Hye plays Nam Ha-Neul, an anesthesiologist who suffers from depression after pushing herself to an extreme extent.
As they both get into a slump, years after their high school in a certain turn of events, they meet again. They become each other’s support. And in the process, they start to feel romantically for each other.
11 years after The Heirs, Shin-Hye and Hyung-Sik feature together in a K-drama. Talking about her experience in playing Ha-Neul in the drama, Park Shin-Hye expressed her feelings to Sports Chosun.
She said, “Time passed too quickly. Many people seemed to empathize with Ha Neul and Jung Woo, finding comfort and solace through the writer’s words. On one hand, the fact that viewers shared similar emotions with Ha Neul and Jeong Woo is proof that they too have experienced some pain.
“Nevertheless, I also feel relieved that the drama ‘Doctor Slump’ may have been a source of strength for them. It’s a project that allowed me to naturally continue what I’ve been doing as an actress. Since there was a time when I was also like Ha Neul, I could relate to her a lot, so I think I’ll remember it as a healing drama,” she added.
On the other hand, Hyung-Sik mentioned, “It’s truly regrettable that the series is already coming to an end. I remember a lot of moments from the filming. I would like to thank the production team of ‘Doctor Slump’ for their hard work. It was a fun, cheerful, and heartwarming drama.”
While giving parting comments, Park Hyung-Sik and Park Shin-Hye shared their gratitude towards their fans for loving the drama. They urged, “Please keep an eye on Jeong-Woo and Ha-Neul until the end to see if they will be able to overcome their slump.”
