New actor Um Joon-Gi’s agency confirms his appearance in MBC‘s new Friday-Saturday K-drama, Chief Detective 1958. It stars Lee Je-Hoon in the lead.
The drama is an interesting crime thriller. The backdrop of the series is set in the 1950s. The storyline revolves around a detective Park Young-Han (Lee Je-Hoon). He specializes in captivating petty thieves from the area. However, he is not alone. Young-Han teams up with three of his colleagues and fight against the powerful corruption.
Kim Sung-Hoon is directing the series. It shows the life story of Park Young-Han before he becomes the chief inspector. Fans of Lee Je-Hoon are quite excited to watch their favorite star in action.

In Chief Detective 1958, Um Joon-Gi is to play Seongchil, a young man from Jongnam Market’s rice cake shop. Joon-Gi is a new actor in the industry who is garnering a lot of attention with his performance in the independent and short film industry.
