Episode 8 of Pyramid Game arrived on TVING on Thursday, March 14, 2024. The preceding episode ends on a striking note. Sung Soo-Ji (Bona) and her friends decide not to betray each other. In the new episode, the audience sees Baek Ha-Rin (Jang Da-A) becoming frustrated. Her plan to manipulate others by blackmailing them starts to fail.
Pyramid Game episode 8 also sees Kim Da-Yeon (Hwang Hyun-Jung) severely injuring Sim Eun-Jeong (Lee Ju-Yeon). She violently roughs her up. In this episode, viewers witness Baek Ha-Rin threatening Myung Ja-Eun (Ryu Da-In) by telling her that she will turn Sung Soo-Ji into a bully for the rest of her life. However, the biggest highlight of the episode is Im Ye-Lim (Kang Na-Eon) being taken to the hospital.

Episode 8 of Pyramid Game starts right where episode 7 ends. When Baek Ha-Rin (Jang Da-A) and Ko Eun-Byeol (Jeong Ha-Dam) ask Sung Soo-Ji (Bona) and her friends to expose each other’s mistakes, they turn the entire scenario. They start spilling each other’s silly mistakes very lightly. Soon, they start laughing and having fun. It makes Baek Ha-Rin furious as her plan was to make them betray each other.
When their plan does not go their way, Ko Eun-Byeol persuades Kim Da-Yeon (Hwang Hyun-Jung) to initiate violent behavior. She ends up seriously injuring Sim Eun-Jeong (Lee Ju-Yeon). Sim Eun-Jeong is then sent to a hospital for treatment. Im Ye-Lim (Kang Na-Eon) is quite heartbroken about what has happened to Sim Eun-Jeong. Later on, Pyramid Game episode 8 discloses that Sim Eun-Jeong’s injury is so severe that her swimming career is over.
Then the episode showcases Im Ye-Lim attacking Kim Da-Yeon. Baek Ha-Rin then announces to the entire class that Kim Da-Yeon will receive her punishment for what she has done. Baek Ha-Rin decides that Kim Da-Yeon will no longer belong to any grade, which means she will now be in Grade F. However, soon the school authority, including Baek Ha-Rin’s mother decides to transfer Kim Da-Yeon to another school. It irritates Baek Ha-Rin and she lashes out at her mother. She also gains sympathy and support from her grandmother who has the ultimate power in Baekyeon Girls’ High School.
Later on, in episode 8 of Pyramid Game, Sung Soo-Ji notices that something is not right with Myung Ja-Eun (Ryu Da-In). She soon learns that Baek Ha-Rin has threatened her. She has asked her to stop being friends with Sung Soo-Ji if she does not want her to become a bully forever. Thus, to save Sung Soo-Ji, Myung Ja-Eun devices to get back to Grade F.
Towards the end of the Pyramid Game episode 8, Sung Soo-Ji and her friends team up with other girls in their class to get rid of the game. They plan to not participate in the next ranking game. As they are the majority in the class, their decision to not participate in the game will dismiss the game itself.
At the end of the episode, viewers see Im Ye-Lim debuting at their school. She gives an amazing performance. However, after her performance is over, she breaks down. Someone wearing a teddy bear costume seems to be keeping an eye on her. Then the episode shows a medical team taking Im Ye-Lim into the hospital. She is unconscious.
After witnessing it, Sung Soo-Ji rushes to the classroom where Baek Ha-Rin is about to start the ranking game. Sung Soo-Ji enters the class and directly attacks Baek Ha-Rin. She pushes her to the board. Everyone is shocked after seeing it. It looks like Sung Soo-Ji is furious after what happened to Im Ye-Lim and she blames Baek Ha-Rin for it. The episode ends right there.
