Upcoming tvN K-drama Mom’s Friend’s Son has revealed its full cast lineup. The series, led by Jung Hae-In and Jung So-Min, follows the story of a woman trying to rebuild her flawed life and her relationship with her mother’s friend’s son. The latter reminds her of a darker period in her life. The release date of this one of the most anticipated works of 2024 hasn’t been announced yet.
Mom’s Friend’s Son is an upcoming romantic comedy series on tvN. On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, the network announced its full cast lineup. Jung Hae-In and Jung So-Min will play the lead roles in the show. Meanwhile, other cast members include Kim Ji-Eun, Yoon Ji-On, Park Ji-Young, Jo Han-Chul, Jang Young-Nam, Lee Seung-Joon, Kim Geum-Soon, Han Ye-Joo, Jeon Seok-Ho, Lee Seung-Hyub, and Shim So-Young.

Mom’s Friend’s Son features a woman named Bae Seok-Ryu (Jung So-Min), looking to reboot her life. She works as a product manager for a conglomerate company and excels in everything she does. However, an incident and her breakdown leads her to quit her job and reevaluate her life. She crosses paths with her mother’s friend’s son, Choi Seung-Hyo (Jung Hae-In), a successful architect. However, he represents the dark side of Seok-Ryu’s life.
Meanwhile, Kim Ji-Eun plays the role of Seung-Hyo and Seok-Ryu’s cheerful childhood friend, Jung Mo-Eum, a passionate emergency responder. The trio is known as the “three musketeers,” with Mo-Eum aware of the childhood friends’ dark past. Yoon Ji-On plays the responsible reporter, Kang Dan-Ho, who moves next door to Mo-Eum.
Accompanying cast members include Park Ji-Young and Jo Han-Chul, who play Seok-Ryu’s parents, Na Mi-Sook and Bae Geun-Sik, respectively. Jang Young-Nam and Lee Seung-Joon play Seung-Hyo’s parents, Seo Hye-Sook and Choi Kyung-Jong, respectively. Furthermore, Jeon Suk-Ho, Kim Geum-Soon, Han Ye-Joo, Lee Seung-Hyub, and Shim So-Young will also play interesting characters in this drama.
Mom’s Friend’s Son will see director Yoo Jae-Won and writer Shin Ha-Eun work together after their collaboration on the popular drama Hometown Cha Cha Cha. The tvN series will premiere in the second half of 2024.
