Episode 3 of Apartment 404 arrived on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, March 8, 2024. The mystery-solving variety show has a star-studded cast. It includes Blackpink’s Jennie, Lee Jung-Ha, Yang Se-Chan, Yoo Jae-Suk, Cha Tae-Hyun, and Oh Na Ra. In the brand-new episode, the audience sees the cast exploring a 1999 mystery case, revolving around a cult, a cult leader, and a massive fraud. It is based on a true story. However, people’s actions are part of the show’s dramatization.
Apartment 404 episode 3 showcases the cast members trying to solve the mystery of an apartment from 1999. Their first goal is to find the mystery about the apartment, which is the secret cult. Then at the end of the episode, they have to figure out who is the cult leader. The episode’s biggest twist is that the cult leader is someone among the six cast members. If the cast correctly identifies the leader, they win. However, if they fail to identify the leader correctly, the cast member who is the leader of the cult wins episode 3’s game.
Apartment 404 Episode 3: Do the cast members identify the cult leader correctly?
Episode 3 of Apartment 404 begins with an introduction to the episode’s new case in 1999. Similar to the previous two cases, it also centers around an apartment. The cast is divided into two teams. One team includes Jennie, Yang Se-Chan, and Lee Jung-Ha. Meanwhile, the other team includes Oh Na Ra, Cha Tae-Hyun, and Yoo Jae-Suk. All the cast members witness a mysterious man throwing money in the air. Later in the episode, the man tells them not to trust anyone.
Throughout Apartment 404 episode 3, both teams must play two games to collect clues to solve the 1999 mystery. During the first game, the team with Cha Tae-Hyun, Oh Na Ra, and Yoo Jae-Suk won. They get a videotape and a key to the mysterious man’s room, along with their food as the prize. The losing team only receives the videotape with their food. After going through the videotape and their respective rooms in the apartment, the team figures out that the 1999 case revolves around a cult.
After that, Yoo Jae-Suk goes on to find a prophecy book, where different prophecies about the cast members are written. The cast realizes that some of these prophecies have already come true. From there, they realize that a cult leader is behind the massive fraud case of 1999. Soon, they also realize that the cult leader is hiding among them.
Towards the end of episode 3 of Apartment 404, all the cast members arrive at a meeting spot. There, they find members of the cult practicing their rituals. The cast must find the final clue by checking the cult members’ foot soles. They find some writing in red on their foot.
In the end, the cast ends up choosing Oh Na Ra as the cult leader. However, the episode then reveals that they are wrong. The actual cult leader is Lee Jung-Ha. He has brilliantly kept his identity secret till the very end. Thus, he wins episode 3’s game.
