Branding in Seongsu Episode 19 Recap & Spoilers: Why Does Lomon Seek Revenge on Kim Ji-Eun?

Branding in Seongsu aired a brand-new episode 19 on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 12 a.m. KST on U+Mobile TV. The drama is also available to stream on Viki. The central storyline of the series follows two individuals, rude team leader Kang Na-On (Kim Ji-Eun) and intern So Eun-Ho (Lomon). The two work at Seongsu Marketing Agency and are polar opposites. However, their lives intertwine when their souls get swapped due to an unintentional kiss.

Episode 19 of Branding in Seongsu showcased significant tension between Kang Na-On and So Eun-Ho. The former finally found out about Eun-Ho’s plan, which was to seek revenge on Na-On for her actions in the past. Five years ago, Na-On stole Eun-Ho and his friend Da-Eun’s brand idea for her own project. This eventually resulted in Da-Eun’s death and Eun-Ho’s subsequent revenge journey. Their soul swap was caused by Da-Eun, but the two remained unaware of the same. Viewers will have to wait and see how their journey unfolds from now on.

Branding in Seongsu Episode 19: Kim Ji-Eun discovers Lomon’s true intentions

The latest Branding in Seongsu episode 19 began with a flashback to Kang Na-On and So Eun-Ho’s first interaction. Eun-Ho reached Segye Group with the intention of collaborating with them for his newly created incense brand, Bandi Incense. It was previously revealed that both he and his friend Da-Eun created a unique brand that made candle scents created by masters who used traditional methods.

Eun-Ho prepared all the materials to pitch the brand for marketing at Segye Group. However, the guards stopped him from entering the building. While trying to make his way, he clashed with third-year employee Na-On. When the two fell down, their materials swapped, with Na-On now holding the Bandi Incense proposal. She was to give a presentation on Segye International’s in-house scented brand, Charmant. Meanwhile, Eun-Ho held onto Na-On’s ID card and realized he had their brand project with him.

Na-On pitched a signature scent for Charmant Candle in front of Segye Group members, including director Han Yi-Jae, chief Hwang Jae-Ha, and fellow director and Na-On’s senior, Min Hee-Jung. The chief, however, ordered that she find the signature scent first if she needs the approval. On the other hand, Eun-Ho reached Segye Group once again with the Charmant Candle proposal. He managed to reach the office but had to leave before Na-On arrived.

After the meeting, Min Hee-Jung arrived with Na-On and Do Yu-Mi, concerned with the chief’s orders. Hee-Jung advised that while looking for the scent, Na-On should have what the opposite party desperately needs to get what she wants. Hee-Jung explained that if Na-On succeeds in this project, she will become the team leader of Marketing Team 1. This left Na-On excited as she began working overnight to find the scent.

While contemplating the chief’s orders, Na-On caught sight of the Bandi Incense proposal. She stole the proposal idea that talked about an expert master making a scent using traditional methods. The following day, she went with Yu-Mi and Cha Jeong-Woo to visit Incense Master Ji Hyeong-Joong. She blackmailed him into giving her the scent by using his son’s ill health. Just as the team left, Eun-Ho entered the house to see the Master’s son bleeding from his mouth.

Meanwhile, Segye Group became extremely popular for their new Charmant candle. News outlets reported that Master Ji Hyeong-Joong created the candle scents using the perfume manufacturing method from the Joseon era. While Na-On celebrated her success, Eun-Ho and Da-Eun struggled to come to terms with the news. Eun-Ho began protesting outside Segye Group and somehow got Na-On’s contact details.

When Eun-Ho confronted her over a call, Na-On asked him to bring evidence within a week. Meanwhile, Da-Eun broke down over the news. One of her candles fell down and caused a fire, taking her life. This left Eun-Ho heartbroken and determined to avenge his friend’s death. The scene shifted to the present when Eun-Ho and Na-On had their final soul swap during the HQ Motors presentation.

Before Eun-Ho could sabotage her plans, Na-On took him out. She declared that the two would compete to see who would get the project. At the end of the episode, Eun-Ho finally confronts Na-On about her past actions, calling her “evil.”
