tvN shares an update on one of the highly-anticipated K-drama Jeong Nyeon starring Kim Tae-Ri. The South Korean actress is immensely popular for her performances in Twenty-Five Twenty-One, Revenant, and other dramas.
Jeong Nyeon is set to release in the coming October. Though we don’t know the exact date, the month has been confirmed. Based on the webtoon of the same name, the storyline of the historical drama follows Yoon Jeong-Nyeon (Kim Tae-Ri), who is a young woman and has a natural gift of singing. After the Korean Conflict in the 1950s, she gets involved in a Women’s Theatre group.

As per Sports Seoul, a tvN official exclaimed, “Currently, ‘Jeonnyeon’ is most likely to be scheduled for October. However, there are frequent changes to the programming and there is a long period of time left, so it is burdensome to say it is confirmed.”
Apart from Kim Tae-Ri, the drama features a stellar star cast. Jeong Eun-Chae, Shin Ye-Eun, Kim Yun-Hye, Jeong Ra-El Ra Mi-Ran, and Moon So-Ri are present. Kim’s character in the drama shows how a young girl can follow her drama despite a lot of struggles.
On the other hand, Shin Ye-Eun plays Heo Yeong-Seo, who is a talented Pansori entertainer. She is known for her outstanding singing and dancing skills. She also comes from a strong family background which unfolds further.
Next, Ra Mi-Ran who is known for her role in The Good Bad Mother, portrays Kang So-Bok. Ri-Man’s character is the head of the Theater Company who is known for her charismatic behaviour.
Moon So-Ri plays Seo Yong-Rye who raised her child hiding her past of being a virtuoso pansori vocalist. After winning an SBS award for Revenant, fans are expecting a lot from the drama as Kim Tae-Ri stars in it.
