Episode 16 (Finale) of My Happy Ending arrived on TV Chosun on Sunday, February 26, 2024. The preceding episode ended on a striking note as Kwon Yoon-Jin (So Yi-Hyun) abducted Seo Jae-Won’s (Jang Na-Ra) daughter Heo Ah-Rin (Choi So-Yool). In the finale episode, the audience sees that Heo Ah-Rin is safe and sound. Jae-Won soon meets her daughter at home.
The final episode of My Happy Ending also sees Kwon Yoon-Jin getting into a fatal accident while crossing the road. Furthermore, Yoon Te-Oh (Lee Ki-Taek) finally confesses his romantic feelings for Seo Jae-Won. The episode also sees Jae-Won starting to visit Psychiatrist Jo Su-Gyeong in reality after hallucinating about her all this time.
My Happy Ending finale ending: How does Jang Na-Ra’s life turn out at the end?
The finale episode of My Happy Ending begins with Seo Jae-Won (Jang Na-Ra) realizing that Kwon Yoon-Jin (So Yi-Hyun) has kidnapped her daughter Heo Ah-Rin (Choi So-Yool). She immediately calls Yoon Te-Oh (Lee Ki-Taek) to inform him. Jae-Won then desperately starts looking for her daughter. Te-Oh informs the police, and Detective Oh Soo-Jin (Kim Soo-Jin) also starts their search.
In the meantime, in the My Happy Ending finale episode, Kwon Yoon-Jin buys Ah-Rin some toys and takes her to get some ice cream. While there, she asks Ah-Rin about whom she missed the most while in the U.S. When the little girl tells Yoon-Jin that she misses her father the most, a sense of guilt takes over her. She then decides not to harm Ah-Rin. She lets her go and takes her to her home. Yoon-Jin then calls Jae-Won, who is looking for her daughter. In the call, Yoon-Jin tells Jae-Won she will find her daughter at home.
Soon, Yoon-jin is seen walking on the busy road with many thoughts in her mind. She suddenly gets hit by a car while crossing the street. It seems like she has passed away in the accident. Then, the episode takes viewers to one year later. Jae-Won goes to see Psychiatrist Jo Su-Gyeong in real life. All this time, she has been hallucinating her and talking to her. But now, she starts visiting her as her doctor in reality.
Then, the finale episode of My Happy Ending shows Seo Jae-Won asking her father to live with her. She also took a break from her job as she stepped down from the position of CEO. She requested that Yoon Te-Oh (Lee Ki-Taek) take her position at the office. Jae-Won spends more time with her daughter Ah-Rin. Soon, she starts working as an independent designer at the office. Yoon Te-Oh asks her to be the leader of the design group. It looks like she has again started to enjoy her work.
Towards the end of My Happy Ending episode 16 (Finale), Yoon Te-Oh confesses his romantic feelings to Jae-Won. In response, Jae-Won tells him he must wait for a long time. Yoon Te-Oh becomes extremely happy and is ready to wait for her. At the end of the episode, Jae-Won is seen having a good time with her father and her daughter Ah-Rin at the sea beach. She has realized that life has no happy ending as it is a journey full of joy and sorrow. However, she has finally learned to accept life and has made peace with it.
