KBS1’s new weekday K-drama is in production. ‘A Profitable Cage’ (working title) had a script reading session with the actors and is already creating quite a buzz among the audience.
The first episodes of the K-drama are slated to be released in March 2024, as reported in Sportsseoul. This K-drama is being directed by Park Ki-Hyun, written by Nam Seon-Hye, and produced by Monster Union. The storyline follows a heartwarming and cute love story between a star doctor and a novice doctor.
The plot revolves around the star doctor Jin Soo-Ji (Ham Eun-Jung), who faces an incident and falls from her career peak. On the other hand, there’s the novice doctor Chae Woo-Ri (Baek Sung-Hyun). They build a family together, and the story unfolds further.

This drama features Ham Eun-Jung as Jin Soo-Ji and Baek Sung-Hyun as Chae Woo-Ri in the lead roles. On the other hand, Oh Hyun Kyung plays Chae Sun-Young, the owner and chef of a Korean restaurant.
In addition, Kang Byul, Shin Jung-Yoon, Sunwoo Jae-Duk, and others are playing supporting roles. In the script reading session, the portrayal of their roles created huge anticipation among the fans.
After finishing the script reading session, the actors expressed their feelings. Ham Eun-Jung said (originally in Korean), “I think it’s a heart-warming drama that allows us to feel the warm love of family and think about the people around us.”
Baek Sung Hyun declared (originally in Korean), “When the script reading alone is [this much] fun, I think it will be very enjoyable for viewers when it goes on air.”

‘A Profitable Cage’ is slated to premiere on March 25, 2024, at 8:30 p.m. KST.
