Choi Woo-Shik and Park Bo-Young are set to come together for Netflix’s upcoming K-drama Melo Movie. The streamer recently shared the cast members’ photos from their script reading session.
Melo Movie is a comedy romance K-drama which also deals with friendships and dreams. As four young people’s paths are crossed, they will find solace and inspiration in each other while overcoming their respective painful traumas.
The director of the new series is Oh Choong Hwan, known for his popular shows like Castaway Diva, Big Mouth, Start-Up, and Hotel Del Luna. The writer is Our Beloved Summer’s scriptwriter, Lee Na-Eun.

Melo Movie script reading photos reveal leading cast members
The Melo Movie script reading photos feature four leading cast members. The lead pair is Choi Woo-Shik and Park Bo-Young, while Lee Jun-Young and Jeon So-Nee will play ex-lovers.
According to an MBC report, the A Killer Paradox actor will essay the role of Go Kyum, a passionate actor and movie lover. Although he gets only minor roles, he finds himself turning into a film critic. He wishes to watch all the movies in the world.
When he meets Kim Moo-Bi (Park Bo-Young), he instantly gets attracted to her, mainly because of her name, which sounds like “movie.” Moo-Bi enters the film industry to understand why her father always considered the film world more important than her. Her life turns upside down when she encounters Go Kyum.
Aside from the lead pair, Lee Jun-Young will essay the role of an unknown composer, Hong Si-Joon, who considers himself a genius. And Jeon So-Nee will play his ex-girlfriend, Son Joo-Ah, who is a scriptwriter.
Meanwhile, the Melo Movie release date has not been announced yet. It will premiere on Netflix.
