As per a report by Star News Korea, KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama Beauty and Mr. Romantic will premiere in March 2024. However, there has been no announcement regarding a fixed date for the premiere. The series is directed by Hong Seok-Gu from the script by Kim Sa-Kyung. Rae Mong-Rae-In produces this series. Ahead of its release, the K-drama has unveiled the first look of lead actor Ji Hyun-Woo.
Beauty and Mr. Romantic will reportedly be a rom-com series. The storyline revolves around a top actress named Park Do Ra, who hits rock bottom after an incident. However, a producing director, Go Pil Seung, makes her stand on her feet. Since he loves her, he helps her regain confidence, but will Park Do Ra reciprocate that love?

The recent reveal of Beauty and Mr. Romantic’s cast shows two popular actors in lead roles. Im Soo-Hyang plays Park Do Ra, the actress who worked since her childhood to have a name of her own in the entertainment industry. Meanwhile, Ji Hyun-Woo plays the producing director, Go Pil Seung. Interestingly, KBS’s official Instagram account has shared new pictures of the lead actor from the K-drama.
In the first few stills, the actor looks almost unrecognizable. Ji Hyun-Woo flaunts curly hair with casual outfits like jeans and various jackets while exuding a friendly and cozy vibe.
Aside from his appearance, the aforementioned Star News Korea report stated that Ji Hyun-Woo has been praised for his performance. According to the production team of Beauty and Mr. Romantic, Ji Hyun-Woo portrayed PD Go Pil Seung with the utmost honesty and dedication.
They said, “Ji Hyun-Woo was as good as ever from the first filming. He boasted of perfect synchronization with the character and aroused everyone’s exclamation of admiration. He showed extraordinary passion to the extent of trying out a perm for the character of Go Pil-seung. Please look forward to seeing how Go Pil-seung’s character will be completed.”
