The much-awaited K-drama Grand Shining Hotel released brand-new photos, raising anticipation among viewers. The fantasy horror K-drama is part of tvN and TVING’s short drama project, O’PENing, which gives an opportunity to new writers to showcase their works. The upcoming series follows the story of individuals trapped inside a horror novel, trying to make it out alive.
The newly released photos of Grand Shining Hotel tease the drama’s storyline. The drama documents the journey of Song Woo-Bin (Lee Ji-Hoon), who becomes part of a horror novel. It is ultimately upon Yoo Ah-Young (Jung In-Sun), who also gets trapped inside the novel, to rescue her co-worker and friend, Woo-Bin, from a serial killer. In the photos, Kim Jae-Kyung plays the role of Park Hyun-Joo, the serial killer, who traps him with her charms.

Grand Shining Hotel is a mystery metafictional drama. It centers around the story of Yoo Ah-Young, who gets trapped in a novel. Yoo Ah-Young does everything in her power to save her colleague and friend, Song Woo-Bin, from the hands of serial killer Park Hyun-Joo in the novel.

Meanwhile, Park Hyun-Joo is a serial killer who has already targeted nine previous lovers. A mysterious author invites the two into their novel, Grand Shining Hotel. Eventually, the two find themselves in the midst of an absurd murder case.
Both Woo-Bin and Hyun-Joo become characters in the novel. Woo-Bin becomes a playwright, looking to write his next work. Meanwhile, Hyun-Joo becomes a popular jazz vocalist. According to the novel’s storyline, the two meet at the jazz bar of the Grand Shining Hotel and fall in love at first sight.
In the photos, Hyun-Joo manages to successfully lead Woo-Bin into falling in love with her. The two share romantic moments in a pool, on a beach, and also share drinks, where Woo-Bin looks completely smitten by her beauty. Will he become her next target? If he dies in the novel, he won’t be able to return to reality. Will Yoo Ah-Young be able to help him? Viewers will have to tune in to find out.

As per OSEN’s report, the one-episode drama will release first on TVING on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 12 p.m. KST. It will broadcast on tvN the following day, Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 10:40 p.m. KST. The drama is a part of CJ ENM’s project, O’PENing, involving a newcomer writer, Park Se-Hyeon. Director Myung Hyun-Woo helms the series.
