KBS recently shared the Love Song for Illusion Episode 9 trailer ahead of its premiere. Starring Park Ji-Hoon and Hong Ye-Ji, the K-drama currently revolves around the reunion of King Sajo Hyeon and Yeon Wol.
Previously, episode 8 ended with King Sajo Hyeon’s alter personality, Ak-Hee, letting the host return to his body for Kyera/Yeon Wol. As the lovers reunite, they share an emotional hug and a kiss.
In the upcoming episode 9 trailer, the couple will likely part ways and fight against the torment and schemes of Hwang Hee’s Sajo Yung. The latter is the half-brother of Sajo Hyeong and the killer of their father.

The Love Song for Illusion Episode 9 trailer begins with King Sajo Hyeon and Yeon Wol hugging each other. Park Ji-Hoon’s character promises her that he will “set everything right” and will return to her after the battle is over.
The next scene shows Yeon Wol’s loyal guard denying to serve her anymore. For context, she is the descendant of a noble family that was killed by Sajo Hyeon’s late father. She became an assassin to seek revenge but has now fallen for the murderer’s son.
The trailer further highlights the country’s turmoil as women are kidnapped and sold off. The scenario hints at Sajo Yung being the mastermind behind the mishaps. Towards the end of the clip, King Sajo Hyeong and Hong Ye-Ji’s Yeon Wol wage war against Sajo Yung. Ak-Hee may return to help the king win the battle.

Love Song for Illusion episode 9 will premiere on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 10.10 p.m. KST on KBS. It is also available to stream on Viki with subtitles.
Consisting of 16 episodes, the romance K-drama airs twice a week on Monday and Tuesday.
