Earlier, we mentioned in our previous article that the final episode will air on Thursday. However, the latest update states that it will broadcast on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
The sports-themed romance-suspense K-drama revolves around wrestler Baek-Du and his childhood lover Du-Sik. They reunite after 20 years as strangers. However, Baek-Du identifies his friend at first glance despite her denial. In episode 11, Du-Sik’s other childhood friends discover her real identity and help her in the investigation.
Like Flowers in Sand finale: Why is the release date postponed?
Like Flowers in Sand finale is postponed to next week. According to the latest report, the episode 12 release date has been shifted due to some broadcasting company issues.
In a press release, the production states, “The final episode (episode 12) will be canceled due to circumstances of the broadcasting company.”
Hence, the final episode will air on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 9.00 p.m. KST on ENA. The K-drama is also available to stream on Netflix. The 12-episode series premiered on December 20, 2023.
According to the episode 12 trailer, Lee Joo-Myoung’s Du-Sik will succeed in solving the murder case of Chil-Seong. The culprit is also responsible for the death of Mi-Ran’s father 20 years ago and for Du-Sik and her family’s exile from the town. While she will receive accolades for her success, Baek-Du (Jang Dong-Yoon) will participate in an important wrestling match.
He asks Du-Sik to attend the competition no matter what. He wants her to respond to his love confession after the match. It appears the lead characters will get their happy ending.
Like Flowers in Sand aired twice a week on Wednesdays and Thursdays on ENA and Netflix.
