Episode 8 of Marry My Husband aired on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, on tvN and Amazon Prime Video. In the new episode, Park Min-Young’s character, Kang Ji-Won, goes through emotional turmoil as she tries to behave coldly towards her fake best friend, Jung Soo-Min (Song Ha-Yoon). It seems like her heart is too pure to punish even those who are behind her unfortunate death in the future.

Marry My Husband Episode 8: Lee Yi-Kyung asks Park Min-Young to marry him
The eighth episode of Marry My Husband begins right after Na-In-Woo’s character, Yoo Ji-Hyuk, rushes into the deep stream water to save Park Min-Young’s Kang Ji-Won. The episode shows Ji-Won collecting the number 1 flag successfully. She tries to keep it safe. However, Song Ha-Yoon’s character, Jung Soo-Min, jumps on her and tries to steal the flag. But Kang Ji-Won attacked her fearlessly and then left with the flag.
However, the incident upsets her. Kag-Ji-Won feels bad for Jung Soo-Min, even after all the cruel activities she has done to her. Ji-Won goes on to check on Soo-Min, forgetting how sly she is. Soo-Min takes the opportunity to sneak up on Ji-Won and steal the flag. The episode then jumps to the moment when the treasure hunt winner is announced. It is a moment of great satisfaction to viewers as they see Ji-Won has won the hunt. Then, the episode shows that Ji-Won fought back and took the number 1 flag from Soo-Min earlier.
In episode 8 of Marry My Husband, that night, Jung Soo-Min finally gets involved in an affair with Ji-Won’s boyfriend, Park Min-Hwan (Lee Yi-Kyung). She does it out of sheer jealousy and anger. Ji-Won watches the two and breaks down as she can feel the betrayal from the future all over again. Ji-Hyuk consoles her and advises her to stay strong and focus on winning.
However, the Marry My Husband episode later shows that Park Min-Hwan is an even worse person as he does not love Soo-Min. He asks her to keep what happened between them a secret from Ji-Won. Soo-Min gets more furious at Ji-Won after that. The next day, Ji-Won spends some time at Ji-Hyuk’s place. She goes there to see his pet cat after learning from Ji-Hyuk that it is the same cat she used to take care of during her university days.
Towards the end of Marry My Husband episode 8, Park Min-Hwan gets into serious financial issues due to bad investments. It looks like he has lost almost all his money. Thus, he decides to ask Ji-Won for marriage so that he can use her money in the future. Min-Hwan goes on to ask Ji-Won about marriage at the office canteen. However, Ji-Won does not respond to him.
At the end of the Marry My Husband episode, Min-Hwan asks for Ji-Won’s hand in marriage with a grand gesture. Multiple drones fly into the sky and form the question of marriage. Min-Hwan goes on his knees and proposes properly to Ji-Won. Ji-Won then accepts the ring. It is quite clear from the scene that Ji-Hyuk has organized the grand proposal for Ji-Won’s happiness.
The Marry, My Husband episode ends with Ji-Won thinking to herself that this proposal will make Soo-Min try her best to ruin her and Min-Hwan’s relationship. It will make her want to get married to Min-Hwan. Thus, it looks like Ji-Won has slightly changed her plan to turn her destiny differently.
