The much-awaited K-drama Flex X Cop is right around the corner. The drama will premiere on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 10 p.m. KST on SBS. It will also be available to stream on Disney Plus later. The story revolves around Jin Yi-Soo (Ahn Bo-Hyun), an arrogant and ignorant third-generation chaebol who comes across female detective Lee Kang-Hyun (Park Ji-Hyun). The two eventually begin working together, which changes the course of Yi-Soo’s life.
Flex X Cop is an upcoming SBS drama starring Ahn Bo-Hyun and Park Ji-Hyun in lead roles. Other supporting cast members include Kim Shin Bi, Kwak Shi Yang, Kang Sang Jun, and Jang Hyun Sung, among several others. Kim Jae-Hong serves as the director, while Kim Ba-Da is the writer of the series. Viewers eagerly await to see the lead characters’ intense rivalry and chemistry. The upcoming SBS drama will take the place of the ongoing series My Demon, which is set to conclude on Saturday, January 20, 2024.
Flex X Cop K-drama documents Ahn Bo-Hyun & Park Ji-Hyun’s intense collaboration
Flex X Cop documents the journey of an arrogant third-generation chaebol, Jin Yi-Soo, who becomes a police officer overnight. Several teaser videos have shown his first meeting with Detective Lee Kang-Hyun. She graduated from a police academy and is the first female team leader of the Homicide Department. Not only is she a workaholic, but she takes her profession seriously. However, her life changes after she meets Yi-Soo.
The latter belongs to the Hansoo Group, one of the richest conglomerates in the country. He has an unusual first meeting with Detective Lee Kang-Hyun. In an attempt to catch a murderer, she ends up arresting Yi-Soo. However, due to his privileged background as a chaebol, he ends up becoming a police officer overnight. Hansoo Group collaborates with top officials in the police force to make that happen, but this doesn’t sit well with Kang-Hyun.
From then on, the two are forced to work together to solve cases. The two have different ways of approaching each case, which sets the two off on the wrong foot. However, their bond takes an interesting course as the two continue to work in the Violent Crimes unit. Viewers will have to tune in to watch their journey unfold.
Meanwhile, other supporting characters also promise to heighten viewers’ curiosity about the drama. Kwak Si-Yang stars as Yi-Soo’s older brother, Jin Seung-Joo. Not only is he the Vice President of Hansoo Group, but he is also Yi-Soo’s closest friend. He will help Yi-Soo transition into a police officer overnight. Jang Hyun-Sung plays Jin Myung-Chul, the Hansoo Group Chairman, while Jeon Hye-Jin plays his wife, Jo Hee-Ja.
On the other hand, Detective Lee Kang-Hyun also has a strong community around her. She has her parents, Lee Hyung-Joon (Kwon Hae-Hyo) and Go Mi-Sook (Yoon Yoo-Sun), by her side. Moreover, her professional teammates include her best friend, Park Joon-Young (Kang Sang-Hoon), and the playful youngest member, Choi Kyung-Jin (Kim Shin-Bi). The three will display excellent teamwork while adjusting to the new member, Yi-Soo.
Other cast members include Yoon Ji-Won (Jung Ga-Hee), a pathologist from the National Forensic Service, and Yi-Soo’s secretary, Choi Jung-Hoon (Kim Myung-Soo).
