KBS aired the Love Song for Illusion Episode 5 trailer ahead of its premiere. The romance fantasy K-drama stars Park Ji-Hoon as Crown Prince Sajo Hyeon and his alter personality Ak-Hee, while Hong Ye-Ji plays Yeon Wol/assassin Kyera.
In episode 4, Sajo Hyeon learns that Kyera has gotten back her memories and that she is Yeon Wol. The ending shows the murder of the King, making Kyera the suspect. However, she denies killing the Crown Prince’s father.
The Love Song for Illusion Episode 5 trailer shows that Kyera is locked up in prison while Sajo Hyeon is mourning his father’s death. The lead characters’ lives are likely to be in danger.

Love Song for Illusion Episode 5 trailer teases death sentence for Park Ji-Hoon & Hong Ye-Ji
Love Song for Illusion episode 5 trailer begins with Hong Ye-Ji’s Kyera being tortured in prison. Park Ji-Hoon’s Sajo Hyeon claims to never forgive her. She, on the other hand, wonders who killed the King and mentions that she is not afraid of dying.
The video further shows Sajo Hyeon’s half-brother Sajo Yung mourning, leaving viewers suspicious about his intentions. The Crown Prince is attacked, and someone says, “Crown Prince hung himself out of severe sadness.” As he loses consciousness, Ak-Hee wakes up and calls for Sajo Hyeon. Meanwhile, Kyera receives a death sentence, revealing that Sajo Yung is the mastermind behind the torment of the lead characters.
For context, Ak-Hee is Sajo Hyeon’s alter personality who was locked away in the previous episode. The Crown Prince managed to stop his other side from coming out for good.

Love Song for Illusion Episode 5 will premiere on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 10.10 p.m. KST on KBS2. It will also be available for streaming on Viki with subtitles.
Consisting of 16 episodes, the K-drama airs twice a week on Mondays and Tuesdays.
