Episode 6 of My Happy Ending, starring Jang Na-Ra, aired on Sunday, January 14, 2024, on TV Chosun. The episode is also available on Viki. The new episode showcases Jang Na-Ra’s character, Seo Jae-Won, getting ready to take revenge. She wants to make her husband, Heo Soon-Young (Son Ho-Jun), and close friend, Kwon Yoon-Jin (So Yi-Hyun), pay for having an affair.
My Happy Ending episode 6 also shows Jae-Won fighting back. She is trying to make sure that she gets custody of her daughter, Heo Ah-Rin (Choi So-Yool). She is also ready to divorce her husband, Heo Soon-Young. In the sixth episode, viewers can also see a mysterious person blackmailing Jae-Won by threatening her with information about her severe mental illness, which she keeps a secret from everyone, including her husband.
My Happy Ending Episode 6: Someone blackmails Jang Na-Ra’s Jae-Won
Episode 6 of My Happy Ending begins with Son Ho-Jun’s character, Heo Soon-Young, breaking down as he realizes that his wife, Jae-Won (Jang Na-Ra), will not let go of her daughter’s custody without a fight. Jae-Won is determined to take revenge on Heo Soon-Young and Kwon Yoon-Jin for betraying her. Not only are they having an affair, but they have also been planning how to win the custody of Jae-Won and Heo Soon-Young’s daughter, Ah-Rin.
To take revenge, Jae-Won frames her husband, Soon-Young, for violation of company rules. She also humiliates Kwon Yoon-Jin and ruins her mural in front of a room full of press. This is her way of letting them know what she is capable of when it comes to her daughter, Ah-Rin. Jae-Won then goes on to ask Yoon-Jin to get out of the house, which upsets Ah-Rin as she is habituated to spending most of her time with her father.
Later on, Jae-Won calls her father to come and look after Ah-Rin when she is at the office. That day, Yoon-Jin comes to see Ah-Rin. She does something that makes the little girl upset, and she starts crying. After getting the news that Ah-Rin is constantly crying, Jae-Won rushes to her house. There, she tries to console her daughter, who is still quite traumatized by something. Soon, Soon-Young arrives there, and Ah-Rin runs to him. For her daughter’s sake, she then allows Soon-Young to live in her house for a few days.
The My Happy Ending episode then discloses that Yoon Te-O (Lee Ki-Taek) already knew what Jae-Won did to his design to frame her husband. However, he let her do it without any hesitation. It is quite evident that Yoon Te-O has strong feelings for Jae-Won.
Jang Na-Ra’s Jae-Won gets mysterious texts from an unknown blackmailer in episode 6
Towards the end of the My Happy Ending episode, Jae-Won goes to a charity event of the Yein Foundation, led by Kwon Yoon-Jin’s father. Jae-Won’s husband, Kwon Yoon-Jin, and the insurance person who is working for Jae-Won, Nam Tae-Joo (Park Ho-San), are also present there at the event.
During the event, she goes to give a speech after getting invited by Kwon Yoon-Jin’s father. While giving her speech, she tries to avoid all questions from the press regarding the ongoing scandal. However, when the press starts asking questions about it, Jae-Won is ready to reveal everything about Kwon Yoon-Jin and Heo Soon-Young’s affair to everyone.
However, when she is just about to start speaking, she begins to receive several mysterious texts, one after another, from an unknown person. It is quite clear that someone is blackmailing her. The blackmailer has also sent her pictures of Jae-Won standing at the charity event. Thus, it looks like the blackmailer is also present at the charity event. The episode also shows that the blackmailer knows about Jae-Won’s mental illness.
At the end of My Happy Ending episode 6, Jae-Won desperately looks for a particular document after the blackmailer sends her a link. It turns out that the link has information about a medical clinic. Meanwhile, through Nam Tae-Joo’s information, Jae-Won also learns that her husband has previously contacted the clinic. He has done a DNA test on their daughter. The episode ends with Jae-Won holding the test results in her hands.
