Episode 4 of My Happy Ending, the new thriller K-drama series, aired on TV Chosun on January 7, 2024. The episode is also available on Viki. Starring Jang Na-Ra in the lead role of Seo Jae-Won, the series depicts a complex story revolving around hidden secrets, infidelity, and betrayal. The series also stars So Yi-Hyun and Son Ho-Jun, among others.
Viewers have been curious about episode 4 after the third episode of My Happy Ending ended on an arresting note. Jang Na-Ra’s character, Jae-Won, rushes to her house after seeing someone who looks exactly like her husband playing with her daughter, A-rin (Choi So-Yul), at home while her husband pays her a visit at the office. In the newly released fourth episode, Jae-Won finds out dark truths about her husband, Heo Soon-Young (Son Ho-Jun).
My Happy Ending Episode 4: What shocking truth does Jang Na-Ra’s Jae-Won learn about her husband?
My Happy Ending episode 4 begins right where the previous episode ended with Jang Na-Ra’s Jae-Won going to her house. She goes along with her husband, Soon-Young, to check if her daughter is safe or not. Fortunately, she finds her daughter sleeping at home in a safe and sound condition. However, it does not leave her mind at peace as she is extremely anxious about what she saw earlier in the footage from the hidden camera that she planted herself.
Jae-Won then goes on to ask Soon-Young about his twin brother and what happened to him. In response, Soon-Young says that he has not talked to his twin brother for almost thirty years. Jae-Won insists on finding out all about his twin, Heo Chi-Young. In the meantime, as instructed by Jae-Won, the former detective Nam Tae-Joo (Park Ho-San) starts looking for significant information regarding Heo Chi-Young.
At the office, Jae-Won’s long-time colleague, Yoon Te-Oh (Lee Ki-Taek), also finds out about Heo Chi-Young and his connection with another of their colleagues, Baek Seung-Gyu (Oh Hyun-Joong), who attacked Jae-won at the office at night and then fell off the office building the next day. Te-Oh then remembers Jae-Won’s close friend, Kwon Yoon-Jin (So Yi-Hyun), telling him that the person she is dating is not Jae-Won’s husband.
Jae-Won goes to look for Heo Chi-Young alone. She finds the place he used to live, and from there, she gets the address of a hospital from a woman who knows Chi-Young. Later on, she finds out about Baek Seung-Gyu’s fall from the office building through her secretary. Thereafter, she meets with Te-Oh to talk about Seung-Gyu. Te-Oh reveals to her that Seung-Gyu was the one stalking her and also the one who attacked her at the office. He also tells her that his last call before he fell from the building was with Heo Chi-Young.
Now, Jae-Won is more determined to find Heo Chi-Young. However, the next day, while checking the footage from the hidden camera again, she sees something suspicious. Her daughter’s dress is a bit different in the video from the one she saw that morning. Thus, she does not waste any time and goes to the hospital where Heo Chi-Young was admitted before. Te-Oh takes her there towards the end of episode 4 of Happy Ending.
From the hospital staff, Jae-Won learns a shocking truth about her husband’s twin brother, Heo Chi-Young. She finds out that he had died a few years back. She is devastated to realize that her husband and her close friend have been fooling her all this time. They are having an affair. Her husband also edited the footage from the hidden camera to keep her in the dark about what was going on.
At the end of the thriller K-drama My Happy Ending episode 4, Jae-Won meets her friend, Yoon-Jin, and her parents for dinner. She also calls her husband there to see how he reacts after seeing Yoon-Jin. During dinner, she breaks the news of Yoon-Jin having a boyfriend just like her husband in front of her parents, making Yoon-Jin furious. After that, Jae-Won returns home with her husband. She then firmly tells him to stop seeing Yoon-Jin, disclosing that she already knows about them. Thus, he can stop acting. The episode ends right there.
