As the world welcomes New Year 2024, the Korean drama industry treats its fans with year-end award shows. The 2023 KBS Drama Awards will premiere this weekend on New Year’s Eve.
The network lined up two shows at the end of December 2023. The 2023 KBS Entertainment Awards aired on Saturday, December 23, 2023, while the 2023 KBS Drama Awards will broadcast on Sunday, December 31, 2023. The upcoming award ceremony is also available to livestream.
KBS is one of the biggest networks in the Korean entertainment industry. This year, some of the popular dramas include The Matchmakers, Korea-Khitan War, Heartbeat, My Lovely Boxer, and The Real Has Come.
KBS Drama Awards 2023 release date, time & more
The KBS Drama Awards 2023 will air on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at 9.25 p.m. KST on KBS2. It will be live-streamed on the official website and also on KOCOWA+’s site. Only viewers from the regions of North and South America can access KOCOWA+ for live streaming.

The network has brought three masters of ceremonies (MCs) this year. The Matchmakers’ Rowoon, Twinkling Watermelon’s Seol In-Ah, and TV personality Jang Sung-Kyu will co-host the event.
Rowoon is also expected to be nominated for The Matchmakers alongside his co-star Cho Yi-Hyun. The ex-SF9 member may also bag nominations in the upcoming JTBC Drama Awards for his popular K-drama, Destined With You, alongside Jo Bo-Ah.
Apart from KBS, the year is set to end with many more award shows. Other networks, including SBS and KBS, have also lined up award ceremonies, respectively, this New Year’s weekend. The 2023 SBS Drama Awards stream live on Friday, December 29, and the 2023 MBC Drama Awards will premiere on Saturday, December 30, 2023.
